The next morning, mama asked,"Usagi, did you sleep well last 
night?" I just nodded. After last night's dream/nightmare, I didn't 
feel like talking. I mean, if it Seiya, I would've carried on sleeping; 
but Mamoru?
      I drove to Setsu-san's house for fun. Most of them were there, 
except Ami, Taiki, Yaten and Seiya. Souichi-kun had gone to work. I was 
on leave only because Okinu asked me to.
      I confided in the others about my dream. Rei gave the fastest 
response.
      "Dreaming of another man BEFORE the wedding?" Rei-chan replied.
      "I know! It's a bad sign!" Mina-chan shouted out.
      "I think Mina-san's right. It probably means your marriage won't 
work out," Setsu-san said. After some time, Michiru-san suggested,"Lets 
go for some light snacks, no?" We agreed and went to one of Haruka's
recommendations.
      While we had some munchies (snacks), Mamoru came in with a book. 
"Look, Usagi-chan. It's a sign of fate," Mina-chan said. Before I knew 
it, he was standing next to me. All the others, carried on sipping 
their drinks.
      "Usagi, may I see you in private?" Mamoru asked. I was about to 
refuse when Mako-chan pushed me out. He took me to another table.
      "Usagi, remember this book?" He held the book high enough for me 
to see. I remembered it as one of those books I've been wanting to ask
Okinu for.
      "Y-Yes," I said. He put the book in my hands.
      "Okinu-san asked me to give it to you. I've got to go back to the
office now," and then he left. I didn't know, but at that time I felt
like my feelings for Mamoru was deeper than Seiya. I shook it out of my
mind and went back to the table.
      "It's happening, Usagi-san, Haruka-san said.
      "Better watch out," Hota-san said.
      Later in the afternoon I had to meet the priest who was going to
conduct the wedding, Father Kawazaki about the wedding arrangements.
Seiya was to meet me there, but he was late. I did hear a conversation
between another person and Father Kawazaki.
      "I really do love my fiancee, and I'm sure I'll carry on with the
wedding,"
      "Marrying someone must be for love, not for wealth. Are you 
sure-"
      "Look, I'm sure about this. I might've wanted to marry her for 
her fortune before, but now it's different,"
      "OK, time to go. I've got other people to meet," the Father said 
and a man walked out. I couldn't bear to walk inside, so I went back to 
the church to confide in my feelings.
      I barged inside and started talking,"There's this man whom I'm 
supposed to marry soon. At first I was so excited, but i don't feel it 
now. Instead my love for my old boyfriend is returning. Maybe I should 
tell my fiance than live unhappily ever after," Then I walked out. I 
felt so much better after sitting in there and straightening out my 
thoughts.
      I ran to Seiya's house but he wasn't there. Yaten answered the 
door.
      "He called to tell you to meet him at-Taiki! What was that 
restaurant again? Kokura? Okay!"
      "Thanks," I ran there.
      When I reached there, I didn't see Seiya at all, so I went in 
and waited for a while. I saw Mamoru and we looked at each other. 
Before any one of us could react, Seiya came in and called for me. I 
ran to him as fast as I could, leaving Mamoru behind. We had a snack 
and then went back to his home. Yaten and Taiki were gone.
      Rain started to pour down heavily. Seiya held my hand gently. He
quietly said,"Usagi, I've got something to tell you," My heart pounded.
Please don't say he was looking forward to this!
	"This morning, I was in the church, waiting to see Father 
Kawazaki. Suddenly I didn't feel like seeing him, so I ran into the 
confidential booth to think. A woman came in and thought I was the 
priest and I had no choice but listen to her lament. She said that she 
was getting married but still loved her old boyfriend. Usagi, do you 
love Mamoru?" I felt like he was the one who listened to my problem. I 
softly whispered, tears rolling down my cheek.
      "Seiya, I'm sorry," and he kissed me.
      "Go and find him now, Usagi," And then he opened the door. I 
thanked him and ran to wherever my legs could carry me. I reached 
Setsu-san's house. A daimon opened the door. "I'll go get the mistress 
of the house. Setsu-san came after that.
      "Is it me or do you like to come here, wet and red-eyed?"
Setsu-san asked seriously.
      "Where is Mamo-chan?" I managed to pronounce that even though I 
was sniffling.
      "You missed him, Usagi," She put her hands on my shoulder,"Go, 
Usa-san. Chase after your true love! If you miss this chance, the clock 
cannot be turned back!" Setsu-san said.
      "I thought he doesn't love me!" I sniffed.
      "Usa-san, he came here to just look at the dress you're going to 
wear! I'm going to tell you a story. There was this girl who thought 
her old boyfriend hated her; she was wrong, Usa-san. The boy still 
loved her and so did she. Unfortunately, she was too proud to go back 
to him! Don't make the same mistake I did, Usagi!" Setsu-san's eyes 
were shimmering like she was going to cry.
      I nodded off and ran off to find Mamo-chan. My legs carried me
even though they seemed like they were getting heavier and heavier. The 
rain and snow was very messy and people just stared at me. I ran and 
ran, crossing roads and creating traffic havoc. I let my instincts take 
me to where Mamo-chan was.
      I found myself at the park where we first met Chibiusa. I saw a 
figure over there. I shouted out,"Mamo-chan!" and the figure turned 
around. It was someone else.
      I went deeper into the park, finding him. I knew he was somewhere
around. I was already wet, cold and hungry. That hardly bothered me for
the 1st time. Suddenly a hand was behind me. I turned around and saw
Mamo-chan.
      We stood facing each other, rain and all elements available 
pouring on the 2 of us.
      "Usagi, why are you out here? You should be resting! What happens 
if you get sick?" Ha asked. He talked like he had no feeling at all!
      "Mamo-chan...do you love me?" I asked.
      "Huh?"
      "Do you love me, Mamo-chan?" I shouted. My eyes were red and the 
hot tears stung against my face from the cold. I waited for an answer.
      "What about Seiya? I thought you loved him," Mamo-chan said. I was
frustrated. Why wouldn't he express his feelings for me?
      "Yes, I do love you, Usagi! But it's not anything special! Go and 
marry Seiya! He can take care of you! But I'll still love you, no 
matter what! HEAR THAT? THERE IS NOBODY ELSE WHO WILL EVER TAKE YOUR 
PLACE!" He shouted. I was so touched and whispered,"I'm hungry, 
Mamo..." and I nearly fainted off. He caught me in his arms and 
whispered,"Usako." and he held me in the rain, sharing a passionate 
kiss.
